I know, you are busy. Too busy you think, to write.
But listen, inscribing your legacy is not as hard as you think. You can write in so many ways.
Jot down an outline
Draw a timeline,
Make a word bubble
Use your voice recorder on your phone
Send an email
Respond to a text message
Leave a voicemail
All of these are ways for you to tell your story. When you do, getting to the message in your writing will come easier. Here are three tips to help you write.
#1 - Write Through Your Challenges
I think writing through challenges can be helpful to help us hold on to hope.
Challenges should not require us to stop dreaming, or writing our visions. When you feel the most overwhelmed, disappointed, sad, excited or grateful, write it down. That is when your emotions are the most authentic.
#2 - Get inspired by photos.
Look through some of your favorite photos and pick one that inspires you. Allow the photo to inspire you to write the background, share what happened so that someone who was not with you can feel every emotion about the image. Pictures are a great way to help you tell your story.
#3 - Finish A Sentence
One of the greatest gifts you can give to the people you love is your story written down. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be your authentic story. Speak your truth in love. Here is your first assignment: Finish this sentence: My name is ________________, this is what I want you to know about __________________.
